Ski Team Development Team
SKI TEAM
Development Team is designed for athletes who are new to ski racing and want to build the skills needed to safely navigate racecourses and varied terrain. Skiers are grouped by age and focus on developing balance, edging, pressure control, and linked parallel turns.
All first-year racers begin on the Development Team, where coaches evaluate their progress. Athletes who demonstrate consistent linked parallel turns with proper pole plants may advance to the NHARA Race Team.
Ages: 6–13 & All beginner racers
Prerequisites: Completed McIntyre Ski School Level 4 or able to ride the chairlift and ski independently with poles.
Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays, 6PM–8PM, with optional Saturday training from 9AM–12PM.
Races: Three fun races hosted at McIntyre throughout the season
